Byron Bay,town, northeastern New South Wales,Australia. 

The town is situated on Cape Byron town which shelters Byron Bay and is the easternmost point of the Australian mainland ,Byron Bay is one of Australia's best-known beach towns and is a major tourist destination.It is located 772 km north of Sydney and 165 km South of Brisbane.
Byron Bay for more than 20.000 years when the cape was encountered in 1770 by Capt .James Cook , who named for Commodore John Byron, grandfather of the poet Lord Byron.Byron Bay was founded in 1860 as a timber port. It was declared a town in 1896 and a shire in 1906.Before coastal shipping declined, Byron Bay was the principal port between Newcastle about 390 miles ( 630 km) and Brisbane 90 miles (140 km) north-northwest.

Killen Falls: It is located in Tintenbar which is about a 20 minute drive from Byron Bay.It is a large swimming hole on Emigrant Creek with a 10m waterfall to one end.There are some deep sections and many submerged rock and shallower areas.When you are down at swimming hole there you are surrounded by nature and feel as if you could be in the middle of the bush indeed this is one of the remaining stands of intact big scrub rainforest in this area.
