The best season or months to visit places in Bundi are February, March, October, November, December. There are beautiful tourist places in Bundi, which can be explored by travellers. Local attractions can be visited at any time of the day, be it early morning, afternoon, evening or night, as suitable for travellers

The famous tourist beautiful fort of bundi are as under:-

A) Taragarh Fort-
                               Taragarh Fort, also called as the Star Fort, was constructed on a hillside in 1354. This fort has huge cannon known as Garbh Gunjam and a fortification called the Bhim Burj. There are three tanks in the fort premises that never dry up and are popular for traditional methods of construction.The state of Bundi was founded in this year by Rao Deva, and this was when the construction of this massive square began.Taragarh is one of the most impressive structures in Bundi.While it may be a bit ramshackle and strewn with overgrown vegetation, the palace grounds are a great place for a leisurely stroll.With its covered roofs and topping pavilions ,excess of temple columns and elephant and lotus motifs , the palace is a tribute to Rajput style.There are three gateways to the fort, well knows as Lakshmi Pol,Phuta Darwaja and Gagudi ki Phatak most parts of these impressive gateways are now in ruins. 

                      

B) Bundi Palace-
                                 The city dwell near a narrow gorge, and is surrounded by the Aravalli Ranges from three sides. A substantial wall with four gateways encircles the beauty of this remarkable city.In the center of the township lies a mesmerizing lake and a medieval fortress that stand tough on the ravages of time. Bundi palace history is admired for its baolis (step wells), palaces as well as water tanks.The monuments of this place and their structural design portray the magnificence of the erstwhile local Rajput chiefs.Amongst  the Forts and Palaces in Bundi,a leading name is that of Bundi Palace,Bundi.

                           

 C)  Raniji Ki Baori-
                                The town of Bundi is renowned for its baoris, or stepwells. Raniji ki Baori (Queen's stepwell) is the largest among the over 50 baoris that dot the town .Baoris were commissioned  by the ruling royalty to take care of  water needs during the months of drought .This Baori was constructed in 1699n by Rani Nathwati Ji , the younger queen of the ruling Maharao Raja Anirudh Singh of Bundi.46 metre deep, this stepped well is a multi-storeyed structure decorated with brilliantly-carved pillars and a high-arched gate. Each floor has dedicated places of worship for the people to pay homage.One can enter the baori through a narrow doorway marked by four pillars.Lifelike elephant statues made of stone guard the corners.The baori is a medieval marvel of construction and design.Baori also worked as social assembly areas in those times since local townsfolk gathered here often. The largest baori in Bundi,this place is perfect for enjoying some peace in the lap of nature and heritage.Featuring stone sculptures of elephant and multi-stories,this place is definitely a must visit ! 
   



D) Sukh Mahal-
                           Sukh Mahal ,a small,two-storied palace was a summer retreat of past rulers.Today,it is quite famous for being the place where Kipling wrote 'Kim’.Many credit the palace as a having played muse to the renowned novel.In Fact, part of a movie based on the novel was even shot here.Sukh Mahal, which is located on the periphery of the lake Jait Sagar was built during Umed Singh's regime. It is a universal belief that the old palace and Sukh Mahal are connected by means of an underground tunnel.Apart from this, Sukh Mahal used to be the summer retreat for the rulers of the old times.Sukh Mahal Rajasthan is a magnificent summer Palace on the Sukh Sagar Lake amidst the verdant surroundings of beautiful garden.  



E) Lake Jait Sagar- Surrounded by the hills and home to beautiful lotus flowers that bloom in during winter and monsoon, this lake gives picturesque views which is located close to the Taragarh Fort and is truly one of its kind. From witnessing a large number of migratory birds around to soaking in the serenity of the place, there’s a lot that you can do here for an impeccable evening in Bundi. It is one of the best places to visit in Bundi.




   F Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary-
                                                        Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary is located 45 km from Bundi road .Covering an area of 252 sq.km ,this sanctuary is home to a variety of flora and fauna.Established in 1982 , it forms a buffer for Ranthambore National Park.The best time to visit is between September and May.This sanctuary in Bundi houses different species of flora and fauna ,leopard ,sambhar ,wild boar,chinkara,sloth bear,indian wolf, hyena and fox are some of the animals  that can be spotted easily in the sanctuary.Without a doubt ,it is one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in Rajasthan.  
               


G) Garh Palace-
                                         The Garh palace has a number of petite palaces built encircling the central majestic residence.The various rulers of the city built these small palaces.The palace has many tales attached to it. famed as one of the largest palaces in India that boast a Rajputi structure, this place further comprises of small palaces that were definitely leave you spellbound.Bundi ka kila named as Garh Palace.Some of the best Rajasthan hotels are located near Garh palace the palace is a collection a number of palaces that were built by different rulers over the span of 3 centuries. Garh Palace is known for its  Rajput architecture ,The palace is open to visitors from 8am in the morning till 5pm in the evening.
                      
                                

H) Chitrashala-
                           Chitrashala, which is also known as Umeed Mahal is one of the most spectacular places to visit in Bundi. It is home to beautiful miniature paintings that display Ras Lila and Ragmala.The Chitra Mahal in Bundi was once a spectacular garden palace that teemed with numerous fountains as well as pools that housed exotic fish.This palace’s name stems from the beautiful murals that adorn its walls.There’s also a Chitrashala in the Chitra Mahal that  was made under orders from Umed Singh that why its also named as Umaid Mahal. 
  
                                                     

I) Nawal Sagar Lake-
                                           The Nawal Sagar Lake is a man-made marvel. There is a half-submerged temple in the middle of the lake dedicated to Varun Dev and the lake is surrounded by gorgeous views. Though, it is actually the shadows of the attractions around that fall on water & can be clearly witnessed that makes this place so unique.Nawal Sagar Palace is 250 years old building.It was the residence of Lt Maharaja Bahadur Singh Ji.This palace has 2 portions known as Bad ka vaas meaning home to the elderly people which was even known as Janana Mahal where the queen resides Nawal Sagar Lake is a huge, man made lake that can be seen from Taragarh Fort .This lake has more than a few small island.This lake is located in the middle of the city and hence ,one can get to see the reflection of the entire city in this lake.
                                                     


J) Sadar Bazaar-
                                     Sadar Bazar, Bundi is a perfect destination for a great time with your dear ones. Enjoy the attractions of this popular tourist spot. With so much to lure your senses and offer you recreation at its best, get drenched in the spirit of adventure that you get to explore at Sadar Bazaar. Bundi can be a shopping paradise for you .Here you can find some of the best miniature paintings, Kota sarees and carpets. Miniature paintings of Bundi are very popular and are often given a green tint.The cotton carpet    are intricately designed add a lovely charm. Some markets of Bundi date back to the 17th century too.  Other items to buy in Bundi include stone statues, lac bangles, hand-painted items, metal-wares, murals, silver jewelries, wooden toys, shawls (odhnis) and miniatures, among others. Famous markets in Bundi are Sadar Bazaar and Chaumukha Bazar.

                   


J) 84 Pillared Cenotaph-
                                               Also known as Chaurasi Khambon Ki Chhatri, this place is an epitome of classic architecture. It is actually a stunning structure supported by 84 columns, which cannot be counted all at once. You can witness the artistic figures on the cenotaph and even capture the spectacular finesse that this attraction boasts.
For all those who are enthusiastic about historical sites and structures, this one is a delight for you.. The marquee was built in 1683 by Rao Anirudh Singh to honor the services of Deva, who was a nurse. 
                                      

       
K) Moti Mahal-
                                          The town is famous for its picturesque forts, steep-wells (baolis), palaces, lakes, and reservoirs. Moti Mahal is one of the unmatched attractions of the town. Along with the historic beauty of the Moti Mahal Palace, you can also enjoy the panoramic view of the arid Aravali hills in the backdrop along with the view of the ancient Nagal Sagar Lake. This majestic fort is not only famous for its historic beauty but also of the amazing view it offers of the arid Aravali Hills along with the magnificent view of Nagal Sagar Lake. Built by Maharao Raja Bhai Singh Ji in the year 1645, the fort’s interior reflects the richness of Rajasthan’s Rajput rulers.

                           

l) Shikar Burj-   Shikar Burj is another tourist destination in the quaint city of Bundi. Located at a little distance from Sukh Mahal, Shikar Burj is actually an old hunting cottage owned by the rulers of Bundi, it is an old hunting cottage owned by Bundi rulers.The 18th century ruler of Bundi, Umed Singh used to live here after renouncing the throne.The place is now a popular picnic spot as well as a famous tourist attraction. Shikar Burj is nestled amidst the sun dappled forests of Bundi  withdrew to after he had renounced the throne.

                      

M) Talwas Fort-   Talwas Fort was constructed by Ajit Singh.It is situated in close proximity to the Ramgarh Sanctuary. On your visit to the fort you can enjoy the lovely bloom of lotuses in the pond. Some of the popular attractions located nearby include Borkhandi and Thikarda. The Talwas Fort is the prime attraction of Bundi.There aren't many signages

                       

N) Dhabhai Kund-

Dhabhai Kund is popular for its old geometric construction. Located near Raniji ki Baori, it was constructed during the 16th century and is amongst the popular in Bundi. It is a step well famous for its intricate carvings, murals. A couple of similar step wells are also located outside the Chauhan Gate.This city of step wells strikes a chord that how the gallantry king Prithviraj Chauhan was badly beaten by Mohammad Gauri in a crucial encounter between the two.Shaped like an inverted pyramid, this is also known as  Jail Kund.The fantastic carvings on the steps that lead to the water alone are reason enough to warrant a visit. 

                       

  O)Hathi Pole- The Hathi Pole is an entrance into the Garh Palace of Bundi. Two enormous gates are seen at the end of a steep climb to this palace.Pole which literally means Door,The Hathi Pole is a massive entrance that has two trumpeting elephants that form an arc.Rao Ratan Singh built this arc shaped entrance.The elephant statues that form the arc were most likely to be initially cast in brass,but were later reinstated in a concrete form.This gate is a huge architectural feat that evokes a sense of grandeur The gate has two elephants depicting blowing bugles,and was commissioned by Rao Ratan Singh. , the Hathi Pole forms a major point of attraction in Bundi. 

                    

     
P) Bhoraji ka kund-  
                            Its surely a must see spot and will impress you by its beauty. Built in the 16th century, such water bodies were constructed in the olden days as a source of water for the drought hit areas of Bundi.  
                   
                                   
Q) Phool Mahal-
                        The Phool Sagar Lake derives its name from the Phool Mahal, which is a huge fortress that stands on its banks. The Phool Mahal or the Flower palace is a comparatively contemporary construction and was started in the year 1945 by the Maharaja Bahadur Singh.This palaces houses an exclusive collections of paintings created by italian prisoners.Beautiful gardens surround it as well as a well-planned structure that is decorated with Rajput style frescos.Located in an isolated place, it is famous for its lush green fields, rich variety of flora and fauna, magnificent palatial structures, and winding ways. This place has mesmerized the famous author Rudyard Kipling, and one can see the narration about this place in his famous literary work.



R) Badal Mahal- 
                               The Badal Mahal is located in the premises of the Taragarh Fort. The walls of this majestic palace are covered with exquisite paintings.These paintings are interesting since they depict an influence of Chinese cultureBadal Mahal is well known as palace of clouds which is located on side of Gaibsagar Constructed inside the Kumbhalgarh Fort; Badal Mahal is famed for its unique design. Palace was built in two different time period.In initial stage Maharawal Gopinath constructed Verandah and ground floor. In second stage, by 1609-1657 AD Marahawal Punjraj constructed verandah in front of ground floor, first floor and dome, separately from making some renovations in the construction done in the initial stage. Badal Mahal is constructed by Dawra stone.There are one half ripe lotus each on all the three domes and three half ripe lotus on longest dome of Badal Mahal, which gives a stickingbeauty of this palace.The Mahal offers a remarkable bird's eye view of the in and outside the fort.
                                  

   
S) Kshar Bag-  
                      Kshar Bagh is an old, yet beautiful garden located near the Shikar Burj and Chattra Vilas Garden. Various commemorative memorials of the previous rulers of Bundi are placed in this garden. The typical features of Rajasthan, especially its majestic architecture, are portrayed in these plaques. The garden is not open for visitors and one has to seek permission from the government authorities, prior to visiting this garden.It is also known as Saar Bagh.           

                                                      - Atlast I want to say it is one of the unexplored cities of Rajasthan with a rich historical wealth. Once a part of Kota, it was ruled by the Hada Chauhans- an offshoot of the famous Chauhan clan who ruled Delhi and Ajmer. Bundi is surrounded by the Aravalli hills on the three sides and is circumscribed by a massive wall with four gateways. Interesting monuments including impressive medieval forts, palaces, havelis, temples with beautiful stone idols and chattris with carved pillars, along with a picturesque lake in the heart of the town, add to its charm.Bundi is very famous for its intricate carvings and murals.It is most beautiful as well as heaven place in the world. #must-visit...
